A Noble Journey.
On November 1st 1993, my brother Mark and I purchased a “Home Brew” shop in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia called Brewingcentres. Mark was 20 and I was 24. We knew nothing about running a business but we had an intense passion for home wine & beer making that helped us through the learning years. Many of our original customers are still with us today.
We only had $1000 between us but we were able to convince our father, grandfather and Uncle ‘Ron’ to co-sign for another $13,000 in bank loans. We survived the first few years on passion and Mr. Noodles. At least we had good wine to drink. (white with chicken flavoured noodles and red with beef flavoured).
Fast forward to now: We have changed our name to Noble Grape and grown to 11 locations (including HRM, Kingston NS, Coldbrook NS, Fredericton New Brunswick and most recently Windsor NS). We also helped pioneer “ON-SITE” winemaking in the region (we opened our first ‘ON-SITE’ location in Fredericton way back in 2005.) It has truly been an amazing journey. 
We have now been in business longer than any other supplier in the region and are extremely proud of our Maritime roots.
People often ask us if Noble Grape is a franchise. While we tend to find this flattering, you can rest assured that we are not. When you shop at Noble Grape, you are supporting a small locally owned business. If we look ‘corporate’, it is only because of our passion to be the best. We were even finalists in the Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the year award in 2007.
With one of the widest varieties of beer, wine, and liqueur making supplies in Canada, we have always kept ahead of the curve by continuously seeking out the latest, best and most innovative products available for the hobbyist.
All of our stores are equipped with in-store winemaking! We have state of the art bottling equipment, self-serve bottle washing machines, personalized custom labels, vacuum wine filtering along with custom beer recipes, draught equipment, and much, much more.
Known for stocking rare items, we also do mail order all across the country.
Our commitment to on-going technical training has helped our staff become the most knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate in the industry. If you’ve never been to Noble Grape, we’d love a chance to show you.
